Collegiate Skate Tour, encouraging higher education for skateboarders everywhere, is back in it for the 2016-17 school year. The second contest of the season went down in SoCal, and we were stoked to return to Carlsbad, CA!
We love visiting San Diego County, so it was great to come back for our 2nd annual contest at the TransWorld Skateboarding HQ Skatepark! We had our College and Non-college Divisions, so everyone got a piece of the contest action and the crowd was in for a show!
Students came out from UC Irvine, UC San Diego, UC Riverside, Mira Costa College, Riverside City College, Allen Hancock College, CSU San Marcos, Rio Hondo College and University of Southern California. Our non-student rippers visited from all over Southern California! We were glad to have Monster hooking up beverages and LumeCube and TransWorld Skateboarding as sponsors as well.
It was a treat to have Brian Blakely, Joel Frazee and Kenny Hoyle judging the contest all day!

Following the main event, we did a quick best trick jam on the stairs/rail/hubba, and it was absolutely annihilated.
Our best trick MVP was Joseph Cheeney (@joecheeney from UC Riverside), with his backside double flip! What a hammer for a great day of skating.
